This programme is designed for school leavers who learn best by doing. Learners develop electrical knowledge in the classroom, but practical training remains at the heart of the programme.
They will use industry-standard tools and equipment, complete practical electrical tasks, prepare for the ECS Health, Safety and environmental assessment and gain a clearer understanding of what working in the electrical industry involves.
The aim is not only to complete a qualification. It is to help learners gain practical skills, Confidence and workplace behaviors needed for their next step.

The ECS Health, Safety & Environment Assessment is an industry-recognised health and safety test for those working in the construction and electrical sectors. Throughout the programme, learners receive preparation and revision before sitting the assessment as part of their course. Passing the assessment supports learners in applying for an ECS Labourer Card, an important step towards working on construction sites.
Yes. We are proud to achieve a 98% pass rate across our Level 1 Electrical Installation programme. Our experienced tutors, practical training and ongoing learner support help learners achieve their full potential.
For practical workshop sessions, learners are required to wear a Training for Electricians T-shirt, work trousers and suitable safety boots. We recommend purchasing these before your start date. Any additional PPE required during training will be provided.
No. All tools, equipment and learning materials required to complete the programme are provided. Learners may wish to purchase their own cable cutters (snips) for personal use, although this is optional.
Our training centre is located approximately five minutes' walk from Warrington Central railway station and Warrington Bus Interchange, making it easily accessible by public transport.
Yes. Eligible learners may be apple to apply for financial support through our education partners. Subject to eligibility, bursary funding can help with costs such as travel and other approves course-related expenses. Our team will guide you through the application process during enrollment.
Yes. Learners have access to kitchen facilities within the training centre. A lunch van also visits the site regularly and a range of cafés, supermarkets and food outlets are located within walking distance into Warrington town center.

Training for Electricians delivers the practical electrical programme from our Warrington centre, we work with established education partners who support the wider full-time programme, including additional learning.
